Study Abroad and Scholarship Information

Education Abroad Program (The Education Abroad Program offers a program to Brazil for 6 months or 1 year.)

UCLA Travel-Study Program (UCLA offers many Travel-Study programs in the summer, one of which goes to Brazil. The program centers around Portuguese language and runs for 6 weeks in Bahia.)

UCSB Counseling and Career Services (This is the website of UCSB Counseling and Career Services. Visiting their office and/or their website can be very beneficial, as they have plenty of information on study abroad programs other than EAP.)

StudyAbroad.com (This site offers information on studying, internships and volunteer positions available in Portugal.)

A2Z Languages (You can find language programs for Brazil and Portugal on this site. In Portugal, the A2Z programs take place in Lisbon, Porto, and Faro. In Brazil, the programs take place in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Salvador, and Maceió.)

GoAbroad.com (This site is excellent if you're looking for a language program. It also has information on teaching, working, and internships abroad.)

Instituto Camões (This is the Camões Institute webpage. Go to "Bolsas" to find scholarships for study abroad programs. There are programs offered for the summer or for one year. If you are interested in applying, download the PDF format of the "Formulario de Candidatura". The Institute has programs at many universities, including the Universidade dos Açores, Porto, Lisboa and Coimbra.)

The University of Wisconsin Madison (The University of Wisconsin at Madison offers study abroad programs in Coimbra for one academic year or for one semester.)

Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture at UMass Dartmouth (The University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth has a summer program in which students take two courses in political science in Lisbon. These courses are taught in English and are ideal for students interested in political science and issues concerning the European Union.)

Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States (The PALCUS website has scholarship links as well as internship program information.)
